PROBLEMS IN BHARA KAHU ISLAMABAD
i. There are numerous problems in Bhara Kahu the residents are facing. Here are some main problems being highlighted:
ii. The residents of Bhara Kahu
have been facing acute problems due to traffic mess at Murree Road particularly
at Bhara Kahu. The schoolchildren, elderly men and women, and other commuters
have been facing severe problems while crossing road at Atthal Chowk. The road
gets congested due to heavy flow of traffic and increasing number of
encroachers.
iii. Residents of Bhara Kahu are
facing a lot of problems, as the authorities concerned seem least interested in
cleaning the locality. The residents of the town said that the sweepers clean
roads once in a week but due to which the residents are facing problems.
iv. The local administrative authorities are
focusing on the renovation and maintenance of the existing educational
facilities rather no attention is paid on the provision of faculty and
construction of labs.
v. There is an acute shortage
of clean and hygienic water. People are facing a lot of problems in carrying
problem from far off areas. CDA should take measures to make easily
availability of water inside their houses.
vi. There is only one rural
development health center which is insufficient to serve the whole population.
In the existing health facilities, there is a need for the provision of
facilities such as X-Ray Machines, Maternity Care Unit, Ultrasound, Ambulance
etc. Moreover, the working hour of the existing health center facilities are
very short i.e. operative till noon only.
vii. Last but not the least is the unavailability of
any sort of information in a published form. Neither there is any website exist
covering all the data and information nor CDA, Rural and Local Development
Authority or Union Councils offices in Bhara Kahu are taking any responsibility
for the provision of information to the user upon request.
